New Seating Benches Installed at Matheshwar Saibaba Devasthan, Siolim for Devotees’ Comfort
Siolim: In a gesture aimed at improving amenities for devotees and locals, Siolim MLA Delialh lobo provided three seating benches at Shree Matheshwar Saibaba Devasthan, Ward No. 4, VP Sodiem‑Siolim.
The benches were installed on the temple premises to offer comfort and convenience to senior citizens, devotees, and community members who visit the shrine daily. Shree Matheshwar Saibaba Devasthan is a prominent place of worship in the village, drawing regular footfall during daily aartis and special religious occasions.
Temple committee members and local residents welcomed the initiative, noting that seating arrangements were needed for elderly devotees who often wait during prayers and community gatherings.
“The benches will be of great help, especially during festivals and weekly gatherings when the temple sees large crowds,” said a committee member present at the installation.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to upgrade basic facilities at local religious and community spaces across the Siolim constituency. The MLA reiterated her commitment to addressing grassroots needs and supporting community infrastructure that directly benefits residents.
