MAPUSA MLA INAUGURATES ROAD REINSTATEMENT WORKS; MULTIPLE WARDS TO BENEFIT
Mapusa: Reinstatement works of roads from Khorlim to Ekta Nagar, Ganeshpuri, Dangui Colony, and other affected areas were inaugurated on Thursday bringing relief to residents inconvenienced by months of digging for sewerage, electricity, and water infrastructure projects. The inauguration was done in the presence of BJP North Goa President Rajsingh Rane, former Mapusa Chairperson Shri Rohan Kavlekar, and ward members.
The works are being taken up to restore roads damaged during the laying of underground utility lines, with the aim of improving connectivity and ensuring safer, smoother travel for commuters. Officials said several key stretches in Khorlim, Ekta Nagar, Ganeshpuri, and Dangui Colony had been left dug up after sewerage and water pipeline works, causing dust, potholes, and traffic snarls”said Mapusa MLA Joshua Dsouza
The reinstatement will involve hotmixing and strengthening of the road surface.“We request the cooperation of all Mhapsekars and Bardezkars with the police and concerned departments during execution. These works will restore damaged roads and improve connectivity across Mapusa,” said an official at the event.
Work will be carried out in phases to minimize disruption. Traffic police will assist with diversions where needed.
