Monsoon preparedness: Goa CM reviews Tar-Moira river waterway works

Mapusa: Ahead of the monsoon season, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has inspected improvement works of the Tar-Moira river waterway in North Goa, a project aimed at flood control and boosting irrigation.

Sawant, along with officials of the Water Resources Department, visited the site near Mapusa town on Tuesday. He directed authorities to expedite desilting and removal of bottlenecks, especially under culverts at the highway bridge and Tar bridge, to ensure smooth water flow and prevent flooding, an official said.
