GFA DIV I LEAGUE: ST SAVIO’S SC EDGE PANJIM FOOTBALLERS 3-2
CALANGUTE: St Savio’s Sports Club, Calangute, registered a hard-fought 3-2 win over Panjim Footballers in the Goa Football Association Division I League match played at Poriat ground, Calangute, on Tuesday. Nevil Menezes gave St Savio’s SC an early lead, scoring in the 11th minute to make it 1-0. Panjim Footballers hit back through Vashon Rodrigues, who netted a goal in each session to keep his side in the contest. St Savio’s SC responded with goals from Pedro Gonsalves and Mervin D’Souza to seal the 3-2 win.
Nevil Menezes received the man-of-the-match trophy from Tony Dias.
