Devotional Fervour Continues at Gomantak Janak Bhagwan Parshuram, Avtaran Mahotsav, Celebrations Till April 26

Panjim, Goa, April 22, 2026: The week-long celebrations dedicated to Bhagwan Parshuram, which commenced with a grand inaugural function on April 19, have transformed into a vibrant celebration of devotion, culture, and heritage. After the ceremonial inauguration, which witnessed an overwhelming turnout of devotees, dignitaries, and community members, the momentum has only grown stronger with each passing day. The celebrations are being organised to honour the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu, Bhagwan Parshuram, revered as the embodiment of valour, dharma, and knowledge, and to instil his timeless values among the present generation.

Following the inaugural day, April 20th to 25th saw deeply moving spiritual programs that drew families and devotees from across Goa and neighbouring states. The soul-stirring Bhagwan Parshuram Katha Vachan by Param Pujya Dilip Krishna Bhardwaj Ji Maharaj has become the centrepiece of the evenings, with his discourses weaving together scriptural wisdom, historical context, and practical guidance for modern life. Complementing the Katha, the Mahaarti of Bhagwan Parshuram, accompanied by Pooja and Chalisa, has been creating an atmosphere of collective devotion and spiritual upliftment. The specially curated Light and Sound Show has further enriched the experience, narrating the legendary episodes of Bhagwan Parshuram’s life through immersive visuals and narration that appeal to all age groups.

Behind this grand spiritual celebration, a team of dedicated visionaries whose tireless efforts have shaped every moment of the Bhagwan Parshuram Mahotsav. Spearheading the initiative, Shri. Swatantra Rastogi, In-Charge of Rashtriya Parshuram Parishad Chapter Goa Pradesh, Shri. Mahesh Kandolkar, President, Nav Varsha Swagat Samiti, and Shri. Prasad Kamat Sambary, Sadasya of Nav Varsha Swagat Samiti, have driven the organizational planning and community mobilization with unwavering resolve. Shri. Prempal Singh, President, Rashtriya Parshuram Parishad Chapter Goa Pradesh, together with Shri. Amit Nagar, Centre Convenor of Rashtriya Parshuram Parishad Chapter Goa Pradesh, and other Sadasyas like Shri. Gajendra Singh Rajpurohit and Shri. Gurpreet Singh of the Parishad, have been central to curating the devotional programs and preserving the cultural sanctity of the celebrations. Complementing their efforts, Shri. Shirish Naik of Bajrang Dal has played a key role in on-ground coordination and volunteer management, ensuring that devotion, discipline, and seva remain the hallmarks of this week-long event.

Organisers noted that the response has exceeded expectations, with hundreds of devotees participating daily. Elaborate arrangements for seating, prasad distribution, and crowd management have been made to ensure a smooth and serene experience for all visitors.

The spiritual events will continue in the same spirit till April 26, 2026, with daily Katha Vachan, Mahaarti, Pooja, Chalisa, and the Light and Sound Show.
