GHRDC TO ORGANISE JOB FAIR AT VERNA ON APRIL 23

740 VACANCIES ACROSS 25 COMPANIES; REGISTRATION OPEN FOR GOAN YOUTH

Verna: April 17, 2026: The Goa Human Resource Development Corporation (GHRDC) will organise a Job Fair on April 23, 2026, at the GIDC Hall, Verna Industrial Estate, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, aimed at providing employment opportunities to eligible Goan youth, in line with the Government of Goa’s ongoing initiatives to enhance employment prospects.

The Government of Goa, under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, continues to prioritise employment generation and skill-based opportunities for the youth through sustained and focused initiatives. Accordingly, the job fair is being organised in collaboration with the Office of the Commissioner, Labour & Employment, Goa, and the Verna Industries Association (VIA), bringing together key stakeholders to create a direct interface between industries and job seekers.

Through this initiative, candidates possessing a valid 15-year residence certificate of Goa and meeting the required educational qualifications will be eligible to participate. The certificate must be produced on the day of the job fair or at the time of appointment.

Further strengthening the opportunity landscape, around 25 companies will participate in the job fair, offering approximately 740 vacancies across multiple sectors. Opportunities will be available for candidates from ITI, engineering, pharmacy, science, commerce, management, and arts streams.

Among these, the highest number of vacancies are available for ITI (150) and Diploma in Engineering (120) candidates, followed by Bachelor and Master of Pharmacy with 100 vacancies each. A wide range of roles including technicians, engineers, executives, analysts, managers, and support staff will be offered.

To ensure wider participation, interested candidates are required to register online through https://labour.goa.gov.in/jobfair/ or by scanning the QR code provided in the advertisement. Registration will close at 3:00 PM on the day of the event. Candidates should carry multiple copies of their updated CV, and preference will be given to freshers.

In addition, to facilitate ease of access, two Kadamba buses will be arranged to transport candidates from Titan Clock Tower (Titan Junction) to the GIDC Hall at Verna Industrial Estate.

Overall, the job fair is expected to serve as an effective platform for direct interaction between employers and job seekers, supporting meaningful employment opportunities and contributing to the State’s continued focus on skill development and workforce engagement
