Michael Lobo Paves the Way for Faith in Parra – Chapel Gets Cleaner, Safer Surroundings
Calangute: The surroundings of Our Lady of Piety Chapel, Parra, got a fresh new look with the laying of new paver block tiles, in an initiative undertaken by Calangute MLA Michael Lobo.The work was carried out to enhance the chapel surroundings and provide a cleaner, safer and more convenient space for devotees and visitors who throng the chapel throughout the year.Speaking on the occasion, Lobo said small improvements can make a meaningful difference to the community.
He said the new paver blocks will help keep the area clean, prevent water-logging and mud during the rains, and make it easier and safer for elderly devotees and children to walk around the chapel premises.Locals and parishioners welcomed the initiative and thanked the MLA for taking up the beautification work at the chapel, which is a place of deep faith and heritage for the people of Parra.The work is part of a series of small-scale infrastructure improvements being taken up across the Calangute constituency to improve public spaces, religious places and community areas.
