Ahead of Elections, Goa CEO Sanjay Goel Holds Key Meeting With Political Parties on Voter List Revision
Panaji: With the Election Commission of India announcing the schedule for the Special Summary Revision (SSR), Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Goa, Dr. Sanjay Goel, IAS, on convened a crucial meeting with representatives of various political parties in his office.The meeting was aimed at apprising the political parties of the SSR schedule and its related aspects to ensure a transparent and inclusive revision of the electoral rolls in Goa .Deputy Chief Electoral Officer, Goa, Akshaya Amonkar, was also present at the meeting, along with representatives of various political parties.
Dr. Goel communicated the complete schedule and key guidelines of the revision exercise to the party representatives and sought their active cooperation for its smooth implementation across the state. The Special Summary Revision is a vital exercise to update the voter rolls, including the addition of new voters and removal of ineligible names, ahead of upcoming elections.
