Himachal Pradesh beat Goa by 53 runs Women’s Under-19 T20 Trophy Elite
Bengaluru: Goa concluded their Women’s Under-19 T20 Trophy Elite campaign with a 53-run defeat against Himachal Pradesh in their final match on Friday at Alur Cricket Stadium-2.
Batting first, Himachal Pradesh posted 184 for nine in their allotted 20 overs. Ahana Sharma led the batting with a blistering 88 off 44 balls, striking 12 fours and five sixes. Archana Thakur contributed 44 off 31 balls, including six fours and a six.
For Goa, Usma Khan and Nikhila Naik claimed three wickets each, while Nandini Chauhan, Pooja Kalel and Vidhi Bhandare picked up one wicket apiece. In reply, Goa managed 131 for four in 20 overs. Opener Usma Khan scored 55 off 48 balls, hitting four fours and a six, while Athashree Shivarkar made 51 off 47 balls, including eight fours. The pair added 102 runs for the second wicket, but their efforts were not enough to secure victory.
Pallavi Thakur took two wickets for Himachal Pradesh, while Kunjam Giri and Riya Sharma claimed one wicket each.
Goa finished their campaign without a win, losing all five matches in the tournament.
