Support the Congress to protect democratic rights, Goa’s identity, land and environment: Shivakumar

PANAJI: (Oct 8) Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Thursday appealed to the people of Goa to support the Congress in the 2027 Assembly polls, saying the party would protect their democratic rights, the coastal state’s identity, land and environment.

Addressing the 17th day of the Congress’ ‘Goy Rakhonn Yatra’ at Cortalim constituency in south Goa, Shivakumar said the 2027 elections would be an important opportunity for people to choose their representatives.

“I have a special love for Goa and its people, which is why I have come here with great confidence. The year 2027 will be an election year. The Congress stands for inclusive development. Support the Congress to protect your democratic rights,” he said.
