Experts highlight role of Artificial Intelligence in women’s safety, digital literacy and cyber awareness
:MARGAO: In an effort to bridge the gap between technology and women empowerment, the National Commission for Women (NCW), in collaboration with the Goa State Commission for Women (GSCW), organised an awareness programme on the Implementation of Vashoda AI (AI & Women) at the Conference Hall, Ravindra Bhavan,
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Ravindra Bhavan Chairman Shri Rajendra Talak, along with Goa State Commission for Women Chairperson Ranjita Sandesh Pai, Member Secretary Smt. Upasana Mazgaonkar, Cyber Expert from Mumbai Shri Shubham Singh, and other dignitaries and members.The session focused on the objectives of the Vashoda AI initiative, which aims to educate women about the use of Artificial Intelligence for self-protection, digital safety, career growth and access to government schemes. The expert speaker deliberated on cyber security threats, safe use of social media and how AI tools can be leveraged to prevent online harassment.


Addressing the gathering, the Chairperson of GSCW emphasized that in the digital era, empowering women with AI knowledge is as important as legal awareness, while Shri Talak appreciated the initiative for being held at Ravindra Bhavan, a cultural hub reaching out to women across South Goa.The programme saw active participation from women, students and representatives of various organisations.
