Anjuna Gymkhana Gets a Sporting Upgrade; Lobo unveils New Dressing Room for Local Talent*
Siolim: Adding a new chapter to Anjuna’s sporting journey, the Anjuna Gymkhana’s newly built Dressing Room Facility was inaugurated on Sunday at the hands of Calangute MLA Michael V. Lobo and Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo.
The Managing Committee and members of Anjuna Gymkhana hosted the ceremony, which was blessed by Rev. Fr. Santiago Fernandes, Parish Priest of St. Michael’s Church, Anjuna. Sarpanch and Panch members of V.P. Anjuna-Caisua were also present.
The facility, unveiled amidst floral decorations and applause from local sports enthusiasts, is aimed at providing modern amenities to footballers and athletes who use the Gymkhana grounds daily.


In his address, Calangute MLA Michael Lobo said, “Glad to have inaugurated the new Dressing Room Facility at Anjuna Gymkhana, a valuable addition that will further support our local players and sporting community.”
He added that strengthening grassroots infrastructure is key to nurturing Goan talent, and the state government remains committed to developing village-level sports facilities.
The Gymkhana committee thanked both the MLAs for their continuous support towards youth and sports development in the region.
