Calangute-Candolim Shacks to Offer Wi-Fi & AC Workspaces Ahead of Tourism Season
Calangute: As Goa gears up for the tourist season, beach-shack operators in Calangute and Candolim are set to welcome tourists from next week with a new-age twist. In a first-of-its-kind initiative, selected shacks along the popular coastal belt will offer high-speed Wi-Fi and air-conditioned workspaces, catering to work-from-beach tourists and digital nomads, while retaining the traditional charm of Goan beach shacks.
The move comes as the coastal belt braces for a surge in footfalls with the onset of the season. According to operators, final touches are being given to the shacks ahead of the opening, with licences and other formalities nearing completion. The initiative is expected to attract a new segment of long-stay tourists who prefer to work from the beach, thereby extending the business prospects beyond the conventional season.
