CM CHAIRS HIGH-LEVEL MEET WITH PORVORIM MLA ROHAN KHAUNTE & MAPUSA MLA JOSHUA D’SOUZA ON PORVORIM FLYOVER REOPENING
Panaji: A crucial high-level meeting was held at Mantralaya to review the safe reopening of the Porvorim Flyover, chaired by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant. The meeting was attended by Hon’ble PWD Minister Digambar Kamat, Hon’ble Tourism Minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte, Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza, the DGP, SP Traffic, PWD Chief Engineers and senior officials.
The PWD presented a detailed report on the safety audit and rectification works. Both MLAs, Khaunte and D’Souza, strongly highlighted the daily hardships faced by commuters from Porvorim, Mapusa and entire Bardez due to the closure and urged for an early but safe reopening. The CM directed that public safety will be the top priority and the flyover will be reopened only after full technical clearance, with a proper traffic management plan in place by the Traffic Police.
