PORVORIM ELEVATED CORRIDOR FINALLY UNDER CCTV SCANNER AFTER FATALITIES

These cameras were installed on the opposite side of Majestic Hotel where fatal accidents took place and two precious lives were lost and two others sustained serious injuries within 24-hours of it’s inauguration. Now, the drivers on the Elavated Porvorim Fly-over have to be extra careful and very cautious while driving their vehicles as every vehicle is under the direct  scanner. These Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras will keep an hawks eye on the fastest moving vehicles with the prescribed speed of 65 kmph. It is to be seen whether 4-wheelers or truckers are saving precious lives and property from being lost and getting damaged by way of fatal accidents on the Porvorim Elevated  Fly-over corridor.

 While another powerful camera was also installed on the sloppy stretch towards Porvorim from Atal Setu.

But the notified speed on the bridge is around 65 kmph and cameras would be used to monitor the speed limits and catch the speed norms violators.

Earlier anterceptor radar was deployed as an immediate step and an effort to curb and control the road accidents after the fatal accident occurred.

Now, the most shocking thing is that the 2-wheelers have been banned on the Elevated Fly-over temporary inviting ire and anger from the Porvorim residents after suffering a lot for years during it’s construction.
