St Joseph’s High School, Calangute Clinches Cluster II U-17 Football Title
CALANGUTE: St Joseph’s High School, Calangute emerged champions of the Cluster II U-17 Boys Football Tournament organised by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at the Quitula Sports Complex.In a one-sided final, St Joseph’s High School outplayed L D Samant High School, Porvorim, with a commanding 6-0 victory.Star striker Atish was the hero of the final, netting four goals including a brilliant hat-trick. Rohit and Nikheel added one goal each to complete the tally. The midfield was effectively controlled by Captain Atithya, along with Joel and Naitik, who ensured continuous supply to the forwards.
The team was accompanied by TSO Nikesh Panajikar, PE Teacher Simon Fernandes, Coach Sebestiao Noronha and officials Yeshwant Gaonkar and Vivek Shetye.
