SIOLIM MLA PUSHES FOR SPEEDY RESTORATION OF HISTORIC CHAPORA JETTY
Siolim: Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo conducted a site inspection of the ongoing restoration work at the historic Chapora Jetty on Tuesday. She was accompanied by the Director and officials of the Department of Archaeology, Sarpanch of VP Anjuna-Caisua Surendra Govekar and Panch members of VP Anjuna-Caisua.
During the inspection, the MLA reviewed the progress of the restoration work and discussed measures to expedite the project while preserving the heritage value of the site. The restoration of the Chapora Jetty, an important heritage landmark, is aimed at strengthening the structure and developing it into a major attraction for locals and tourists, while retaining its historical significance.
