Goa Police Conferred Prestigious President’s Colours at the Hands of Union Home Minister Amit Shah
Panaji: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Monday presented the President’s Colours to the Goa Police at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, St. Cruz.
The President’s Police Colour, also known as the Rashtrapati Ka Nishan, is one of the highest honours conferred on a police force. The honour recognises the Goa Police for its dedicated service, discipline and commitment to the people of the State.
On the occasion, Union MoS for Power, Shripad Naik, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, Speaker, Goa Legislative Assembly, Dr. Ganesh Gaonkar ,Health Minister, Shri. Vishwajit P RANE, Transport Minister, Shri. Mauvin Godinho, PWD Minister, Shri. Digambar Kamat, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Chief Secretary, Dr. V Candavelou, IAS, DGP Goa, Shri Alok Kumar, IPS, along with several other dignitaries, were present.
