New Maid Decamps with Rs 27 Lakh Jewellery, Rs 3 Lakh Cash
PORVORIM: A newly apointed maid servant decamped with gold jewellery worth Rs 27 lakh and cash around Rs 3 lakh frim a house in Porvorim.
The house owner has lodged a police complaint in this regard with the Porvorim police stating that a newly appointed maid servant had stolen gold jewelry in their house when the family had gone to the temple for darshan.
He revealed that maid was appointed for the house hold job and fled the spot of the crime within just three day. The police informed that the owner complaint that the house owner informed that after returning home he found the main door was left open and the newly hired maidservant was missing along with the cash and jewellery. The greatest mistake the house owner did was he failed to obtain her full name and address besides seeking identity documents and obtaining police clearance from the maidservant. The investigating police officer has registered a case against the hired maidservant and investigation is going on whereabouts of her.
