Governor Flags Off ‘Chal Dhav Re – Ek Kadam Shaheedon Ke Naam’ Marathon in Mapusa
Mapusa: Governor of Goa, Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, flagged off the ‘Chal Dhav Re – Ek Kadam Shaheedon Ke Naam’ Marathon from Mapusa on sunday .
The marathon, organized by JCI Mapusa, was held as a tribute to the supreme sacrifice of our martyrs and brave soldiers. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from youth, students, and fitness enthusiasts from across Bardez.Flagging off the run, the Governor lauded JCI Mapusa for organizing an event that blends fitness with patriotism and honours the valour of the nation’s martyrs. He said that such initiatives instill a sense of national pride and inspire the younger generation to uphold the values of courage and service.The marathon route saw participants running with great zeal and patriotic spirit, carrying the message of remembrance and respect for the fallen heroes.Organizers of JCI Mapusa thanked the Governor for his presence and said the initiative aimed at promoting both fitness and a sense of gratitude towards the armed forces.
