Couple held at Ahmedabad airport with 1.9 kg hydroponic marijuana concealed in trolley bags

AHMEDABAD: (Sep 2) A couple travelling from Bangkok was arrested at the Ahmedabad airport on Wednesday after they were found carrying nearly two kilograms of hydroponic marijuana allegedly concealed in specially-created cavities inside their trolley bags, an official said.

The duo arrived from Bangkok on September 2 by Thai Airways flight TG-343 when they were intercepted by officers of the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of Ahmedabad Customs based on passenger profiling and X-ray scanning, the Customs said in a statement.

During a detailed examination of their baggage, the officials found concealed layers created inside the two trolley bags.
