CM Sawant, NDMA Team Discuss Coastal Erosion, AI-Based Disaster Plan for Goa
Panaji: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Friday met with a delegation of the National Disaster Management officials (NDMA) at Mahalaxmi, Panaji, and held detailed discussions on critical disaster management projects for the state.
The meeting focused on key issues concerning coastal erosion, urban flood mitigation and the implementation of AI-based unified disaster management solutions for Goa.
During the discussion, Chief Minister emphasized the need for a robust and technology-driven system to address Goa’s unique challenges as a coastal state, particularly in view of increasing instances of extreme weather events.
The NDMA delegation presented its roadmap for advanced, AI-enabled early warning and response systems aimed at strengthening Goa’s preparedness and resilience.
