CM Sawant Presents Police Medals for Meritorious Service to Three Goa Police Officers on 80th Independence Day
PANAJI: On the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant presented the Police Medal for Meritorious Services to three officers of the Goa Police at the state-level function held on saturday .The medal was conferred on SP Shri Gurudas Gawade, SP Gurudas Kadam, and Dy.SP Sudesh Narvekar in recognition of their distinguished service and dedication to duty.
The awards were presented during the ceremonial parade and official celebrations marking Independence Day, attended by dignitaries, senior officials, and members of the security forces.


Speaking at the event, CM Dr. Sawant lauded the commitment and professionalism of the Goa Police in maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and serving citizens with integrity. He said such honours inspire the force to continue working with the same spirit of service and discipline. The decorated officers were applauded for their years of meritorious service and contribution to strengthening the police force in the state.
The state government said recognizing the work of police personnel on national occasions reflects the importance of their role in nation-building and in safeguarding the lives and property of citizens.
