Ahmedabad to host FIBA U-18 Asia Basketball Cup from August 13 to 23
AHMEDABAD: (Aug 12) Ahmedabad will host the FIBA Under-18 Asia Basketball Cup from August 13 to 23, with three Gujarat natives set to represent India as a player, coach and physiotherapist, officials said on Sunday.
A player from Bhavnagar, Ronaldo Hopkins, has secured a place in the Indian men’s U-18 team, while Sports Department coach Narendra Desai will serve as assistant coach and Dr Kunal Chudasama as lead physiotherapist, they said.
“The FIBA (Fédération Internationale de Basketball) Under-18 Asia Basketball Cup is scheduled to be held from August 13 to 23 at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex in Ahmedabad’s Naranpura area,” an official release stated.
