“Safe & Seen” – New Campaign Pushes Schools + Parents to Team Up for Child Safety
Mapusa: As part of Safe & Seen, a Child Rights and Safety Initiative undertaken in collaboration with Scan-Goa, a PTA awareness session was held at Dnyanprassarak Vidyalaya, Mapusa. Led by Adv. Emidio Desouza Pinho, the session focused on helping parents better understand the challenges children may face, recognize signs that may need attention, and encourage open conversations at home.
“Creating an environment where children feel comfortable speaking about their experiences is an important part of keeping them safe.”The role of parents goes beyond guidance; it is also about listening, understanding, and being present when children need support. Strengthening this awareness is an important step towards ensuring that every child grows up with the confidence to speak up and the assurance that they will be heard,” said the Mapusa MLA, Joshua Dsouza
