18,575 Goan artisans benefitting from PM Vishwakarma scheme: Sawant

PANAJI: (Aug 8) As many as 18,575 artisans in Goa have benefitted from the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said on Saturday, highlighting that the government is taking efforts to preserve traditional occupations and generate economic opportunities.

Addressing an online event on handicrafts and small-scale industry schemes, Sawant said 12,174 beneficiaries have undergone skill training, while 7,442 have received toolkits at their residences.

A total of 18,575 people have benefited under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana in the state, he said.
