Mapusa Fire Service Rescues Calf That Fell Into Chamber In Thivim

Mapusa : A calf was safely rescued after it fell into a chamber near Thivim Panchayat on Wednesday morning .According to fire officials, the incident was reported at 09:51 HRS. The calf had fallen into an open chamber in the Thivim area, close to the Panchayat office. Fire personnel from Mapusa Fire Station responded immediately to the call. Under the supervision of Shri O. D. Karbotkar, Sub Officer, the team carried out the rescue operation and successfully pulled the calf out without any major injuries. Local residents gathered at the spot during the rescue. Officials have urged panchayat officials and property owners to ensure that open chambers and manholes in public areas are properly covered to prevent such incidents.
