Shiv Sena (Shinde) Pernem Leaders visited the residents of Mainwada in Korgao village, Pernem Constituency, after media reports revealed that the water supplied to their homes had turned salty and was unfit for drinking, posing serious health concerns. Around 15 households are reportedly affected by the issue.

During the visit, Shiv Sena Pernem leader Kamlakar Humraskar interacted with the residents to understand their grievances firsthand. He urged the Department of Drinking Water to immediately inspect the pipeline, identify the source of contamination, and conduct water quality tests to ensure that safe drinking water is restored without delay.
Humraskar also announced that Shiv Sena (Shinde) will submit a memorandum to the concerned authorities within the next two days, demanding urgent action to resolve the issue.
Residents further highlighted the poor condition of the village road, stating that it has not been hotmixed for several years. Humraskar appealed to the PWD (Roads) Department to complete the road repair work before Ganesh Chaturthi.
“It is unfortunate that the administration, the Government, the local MLA, and the Panchayat have failed to provide these basic amenities to the people,” Humraskar said.
