5th State Cooperative Development Committee Meeting Held in Porvorim, Key Initiatives Reviewed
Porvorim: Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, chaired the 5th State Cooperative Development Committee (SCDC) meeting with the HOD’s of various line department at the Secretariat, Porvorim, Goa.
The following agenda were discussed during the meeting:
– Review of the computerization of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS)
– Formation of new Multipurpose PACS, Dairy Cooperative Societies, and Fisheries Cooperative Societies
– Implementation of the World’s Largest Grain Storage Scheme in the cooperative sector
– Establishment of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras (PMJAKs) through PACS
– Expansion of Common Service Centres (CSCs) through PACS
– Promotion of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSKs) through PACS
– Implementation of the “Cooperation Among Cooperatives” campaign
