Aparant Surakshita Bhavan to Strengthen Workplace Safety, Regulatory Services and Industrial Capacity in Goa: CM
Panaji, July 23, 2026: Advancing Goa’s vision for safer industries and modern public infrastructure, Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated ‘Aparant Surakshita Bhavan’, the new office building of the Inspectorate of Factories & Boilers, on Friday at Altinho, Panaji. Developed by GSIDC, the facility has been designed to strengthen occupational safety, improve regulatory services and enhance the Department’s operational efficiency.
Designed to support efficient administration and industry-focused services, the contemporary building comprises a basement, ground floor and first floor with a total built-up area of 2,369.39 sq. m. The facility includes dedicated administrative offices, inspection and technical sections, an Occupational Health Laboratory, a library, a mini conference room, training hall, waiting areas, barrier-free amenities, landscaped public spaces and parking facilities, creating an integrated workplace for regulatory and technical functions.
Expanding the State’s commitment to workplace safety and institutional capacity, the new building will feature a modern training hall that will serve as a centre for occupational safety awareness, technical training and capacity building for workers, supervisors and industry stakeholders. It will also strengthen industrial health services through specialised occupational health facilities while supporting the Department’s efforts to promote safer workplaces, improve regulatory efficiency and facilitate ease of doing business across Goa.


Reflecting the Government of Goa’s vision of building modern, citizen-centric institutions, Aparant Surakshita Bhavan represents another significant step towards creating a safer, more efficient and technologically enabled industrial ecosystem. The facility is expected to reinforce occupational safety standards, enhance public service delivery and support sustainable industrial growth across the State.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services and Factories & Boilers Nilkanth Halarnkar, Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, Secretary (Factories & Boilers) Sanjiv M. Gadkar, IAS, Chief Inspector of Factories & Boilers Shri Anant S. Pangam, and Managing Director, GSIDC Ltd. Rohit Kadam, GCS, were be present.
