Government to withdraw monsoon water sports notification, HC told
The Goa government has informed the High Court that it is in the process of withdrawing its 2023 notification promoting river tourism and permitting the grant of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for water sports activities during the monsoon season in inland waters. During the hearing of a public interest litigation on Monday, the Additional Government Advocate submitted that the Captain of Ports is rescinding the notification dated July 5, 2023, and that a fresh notification will be issued. Taking the statement on record, the High Court adjourned the matter to August 3.
