GPCC President Girish Chodankar Joins Mulgao Varkari Sanstha, Seeks Lord Vitthal’s Blessings for Peace, Prosperity and Harmony
Mulgao: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Shri Girish Chodankar on saunday joined the Varkaris of the Mulgao Varkari Sanstha on their sacred Wari to Pandharpur for the auspicious Ashadhi Ekadashi, offering prayers and extending his heartfelt wishes to the devotees undertaking the holy pilgrimage.
Girish Chodankar, accompanied by GPCC Chairman of the Media & Communication Department Amarnath Panjikar, Goa Pradesh Youth Congress President Archit Naik, General Secretary Varad Mardolkar, Mahila President Pratiksha Khalap, Sevadal Chief Rajan Ghate, General Secretary Srinivas Khalap, Spokespersons Samil Valvoikar, Mahesh Mhambre, Mahila Executive member Roshan Desai, other Congress leaders and workers, walked alongside the Varkaris for a part of their spiritual journey, sharing in the devotion, discipline and unwavering faith that have made the Wari one of India’s most revered spiritual traditions.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Girish Chodankar said that the Wari is far more than a pilgrimage; it is a living symbol of equality, humility, compassion, selfless service and unwavering devotion to Lord Vitthal. The sacred chants of “Vitthal Vitthal Jai Hari Vitthal” created a deeply spiritual atmosphere, inspiring everyone present to embrace the eternal values of faith, unity and righteousness.
Offering his prayers to Lord Vitthal and Goddess Rukmini, Shri Chodankar sought divine blessings for peace, prosperity, good health and happiness for every family in Goa and across the nation. He prayed for social harmony, compassion and collective well-being, expressing hope that the grace of the Almighty would continue to guide society on the path of truth, justice and selfless service.
Girish Chodankar also conveyed his heartfelt greetings to all the Varkaris undertaking the sacred Padyatra to Pandharpur for Ashadhi Ekadashi. He prayed that Lord Vitthal bless every pilgrim with strength, courage, good health and a safe journey, and that their profound devotion continues to inspire generations with the timeless ideals of faith, humility and universal brotherhood.
