Lions Club of Panjim Installs New Office Bearers for Lionistic Year 2026–27
Panjim, July 4: The Lions Club of Panjim ushered in the new Lionistic Year 2026–27 with a grand Installation Ceremony held on 4th July 2026. The event was attended by Lions members, distinguished guests, and well-wishers in a spirit of fellowship and service.
The installation ceremony was conducted by Installation Officer Dr. Kirti Naik, who administered the oath of office to the newly elected team and encouraged them to uphold the ideals of Lionism with dedication, integrity, and compassion.
The new leadership team for the year 2026–27 comprises Lion Sushma Sawant as President, Lion Berna Prabhu as Secretary, and Lion Marietta Pinto as Treasurer. The office bearers pledged to work together in the true spirit of the Lions motto, “We Serve,” and to undertake meaningful community service initiatives.
The function was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Pramod Salgaokar, who congratulated the newly installed team and appreciated the Lions Club of Panjim for its continued commitment to humanitarian service. She encouraged the members to strengthen their efforts in the fields of healthcare, education, environmental conservation, youth empowerment, and community welfare.
In her acceptance address, President Lion Sushma Sawant expressed heartfelt gratitude to the members for their confidence and support. She outlined her vision of a vibrant, inclusive, and service-oriented year, emphasizing teamwork, innovation, and impactful projects that would benefit the community.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, fellowship, and dinner, marking the beginning of another promising year of dedicated service by the Lions Club of Panjim under its new leadership.
