Calangute Gun Accused Remanded to 4-Day Police Custody
Calangute: A court has remanded an accused arrested by Calangute Police in an illegal firearms case to four days of police custody. The accused was allegedly found in possession of a country-made pistol (katta) and two live rounds of ammunition during a raid near the Helipad at Sinquerim, Candolim, in the early hours of July 9. A case has been registered under the Arms Act, and further investigation is underway.
