Kamlakar Humraskar Demands Permanent Safety Measures at Kamarkhajan, Dhargal Accident Spot
Social Worker and Shiv Sena leader from Pernem constituency, Kamlakar Humraskar, has urged the government to permanently address the dangerous accident-prone stretch at Kamarkhajan, Dhargal. He appealed to remove the temporary road barricades and instead construct a protective wall, a traffic circle, or install speed breakers on both sides of the road to prevent accidents. Humraskar noted that a truck and two-wheeler collision at the spot ten days ago claimed the lives of a husband and wife. Although the Traffic Department installed barricades after the tragedy, motorists continue to drive past them, forcing traffic police to repeatedly secure the barricades. He urged the authorities to review the representation, consult the concerned departments, and implement a permanent solution to ensure public safety.
