Goa notifies more than 1.05 crore square metres land as No Development Zone
PANAJI: (Jul 3) More than 1.05 crore square metres of land in Salcette and Tiswadi talukas of Goa has been notified as a No Development Zone (NDZ), shielding these areas from construction and development under state regulations, an official said on Friday.
The Town and Country Planning (TCP) Board, chaired by Minister Vishwajit Rane, issued a notification covering major tracts of land in villages, including Sarzora, Velim, and Corlim.
According to the notification, the land parcels brought under the NDZ include 5.93 lakh square metres in Cuncolim, 19.11 lakh square metres in Assolna, 28.12 lakh square metres in Velim, 31.84 lakh square metres in Sarzora and 20.72 lakh square metres in Corlim.
