Gujarat cops arrest 4 under Op Mule Hunt 2.0; unearth fraudulent transactions worth crores
GANDHINAGAR: (Jul 3) Gujarat’s cyber crime police arrested four persons under its ‘Operation Mule Hunt 2.0’ for alleged involvement in opening and operating ‘mule accounts’ linked to various cyber fraud cases, including one connected to the hacking of a cooperative bank, officials said on Friday.
The accused had opened and operated bank accounts that were part of a cyber crime network which had transferred several hundred crore rupees, resulting in scores of complaints being registered across the country, they added.
Under Operation Mule Hunt 2.0, the Gujarat Cyber Crime of Excellence (CCoE) of CID Crime has arrested four accused, Superintendent of Police (CCoE), Rajdeepsinh Jhala said.
