Mumbai man arrested for theft of gold chains from Mapusa jewellery shop,
July 1 – Mapusa Police have arrested a 44-year-old man from Chandivali, Sangha Nagar, Andheri (East), Mumbai, in connection with the theft of three 22-carat gold chains worth ₹3 lakh from a jewellery shop at the Mapusa Municipal Market. According to police, the theft took place on April 23 when the accused, along with other unidentified accomplices, including 2 women allegedly entered the shop and stole the chains weighing a total of 32 grams from the display counter.
