Calangute Police Organises Anti-Drug Awareness Rally on International Day Against Drug Abuse.
Marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Calangute Police Station organised an Anti-Drug Awareness Rally on Friday morning to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encourage a drug-free society. The initiative carried the message, “Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life.”
The rally commenced from Shantadurga Temple, Calangute, and concluded at the Shri Dayanand Bandodkar Statue, with participation from police personnel, students, youth, local residents and members of various organisations. The awareness drive was organised in association with JCI Calangute, Calangute United Boys, Lions Club Calangute, and Park Inn by Radisson Candolim Goa. Participants carried placards and raised awareness slogans, urging the public, especially youngsters, to stay away from drugs and support the fight against narcotics. Police officials appealed to citizens to actively participate in anti-drug initiatives and work together to build a safer, healthier and drug-free Goa.
