Raksha Mantri reviews Combined Graduation Parade of 217 Course at
Air Force Academy, Dundigal ,Hyderabad
New Delhi: A total of 231 Flight Cadets (194 men & 37 women), including the first batch of women from the National Defence Academy, were commissioned as officers in the Indian Air Force (IAF) following their graduation from the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal, Hyderabad on recently. Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh reviewed the Combined Graduation Parade of 217 Course, and awarded the ‘President’s Commission’ to the graduating cadets, marking the culmination of the pre-commissioning training of the cadets for the Flying and Ground Duty branches of IAF.
From the state of Goa, Flight Cadet (Fighter Pilot) Rajvardhan Yadav—son of Shri Dinkar Yashwant Yadav (Audience Research Officer, All India Radio, Panaji, Goa)—received his ‘Wings’ and ‘Brevets’ upon the successful completion of one and half years training from Airforce Academy Dundigal Hyderabad.
Rajvardhan Dinkar Yadav completed his schooling from PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, INS Mandovi (Naval Base, Verem,Goa) and obtained a B.E. Degree (Electronics and Telecommunication) from Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi, Goa. Subsequently, he cleared the all-India level AFCAT competitive examination and successfully completed his training at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal, Hyderabad. He had qualified and recommended in his first attempt in both all india level examjnations i.e. AFCAT for Fighter Pilot and Assistant Commandant (ICG)where he chose Airforce Pilot as his career .Rajvardhan Yadav had also represented the Goa Cricket Association U-16 cricket team ( BCCI )for Vijay Merchant Trophy. He is also a life member of the prestigious Panaji Gymkhana. Heartfelt best wishes to Rajvardhan Yadav for his journey ahead in the service of the nation! He will undoubtedly serve as an inspiration for the youth of Goa.
