CM Sawant Inaugurates Grassroots Mediation Training; Govt Signs MoU with Jansaathi to Boost Dispute Resolution

Panaji: Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated Mediation Awareness Training Programmes for Grass-root level Administration organized by of Jansaathi – Centre for Dispute Resolution, Devi Sharvani Education Society’s, V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar, in collaboration with Government of Goa and Directorate of Panchayats & supported by Department of Revenue, Goa Police, Collectors of North & South Goa & GIPARD at at Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji.

CM also witnessed the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Goa and Jansaathi – Centre for Dispute Resolution, V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar, to promote mediation and amicable dispute resolution across the State. The collaboration aims to enhance public awareness, improve access to mediation services, and strengthen community-based mechanisms for resolving disputes through dialogue and consensus. The inaugural programme was attended by Commissioner – cum – Secretary (Revenue), Shri Sandip Jacques, IAS,Collector, North Goa,Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS, & others.
