Porvorim: A house near Maruti Temple in the Housing Board area of Porvorim was extensively damaged in a fire reportedly caused by a short circuit on Sunday.
According to reports, the blaze erupted suddenly and spread rapidly, destroying household belongings and causing significant property damage. Fire and emergency services personnel promptly reached the spot and brought the fire under control.

Preliminary investigations indicate that an electrical short circuit may have triggered the incident. Property worth nearly ₹7 lakh is estimated to have been damaged in the fire.
Fortunately, no injuries or loss of life were reported. Authorities are assessing the full extent of the damage, while further investigations are underway.
