Environment conservation, climate resilience need collective action: Goa Governor

PANAJI: (Jun 18) Goa Governor P Ashok Gajapathi Raju on Thursday said the values of patriotism, responsibility and social harmony that inspired the freedom movement must continue to guide the state as it faces contemporary challenges such as environmental conservation, sustainable development and technological advancement.

Addressing the Goa Revolution Day function at the Azad Maidan here, the Governor said June 18 marks a defining moment in the state’s history when people overcame fear and raised their voices against Portuguese colonial rule.
