Village Panchayat Calangute Declares No Parking Zone from Calangute Church to Palmarinha Resort to Curb Littering*
Calangute: VP Calangute has declared the stretch from Calangute Church to Palmarinha Resort as a strict ‘No Parking Zone’ with immediate effect, citing littering and garbage dumping in nearby fields.
According to the public notice issued by VP Calangute, vehicles parked along this stretch were found to be contributing to waste accumulation in adjacent fields that were recently cleaned and restored. To protect the area and maintain cleanliness, the Panchayat has enforced the parking ban.
The Traffic Cell and the Police Inspector have been informed and requested to take necessary action against vehicles parked in violation of the directive.
The Panchayat has appealed to residents and visitors to cooperate in keeping Calangute clean, green, and beautiful, stating that public support is essential to preserve the environment for future generations.
