Governor Bids Farewell to Vice President Radhakrishnan at INS Hansa After Statehood Day Visit

Dabolim, May 29: Governor of Goa Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju bid farewell to Vice President of India Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan at INS Hansa, Dabolim, on Friday, concluding the Vice President’s visit to the state for the 40th Goa Statehood Day celebrations.

Radhakrishnan arrived in Goa to grace the state-level function at Kala Academy, Panaji, where he also released the coffee table book “Goa Engineering the Next Era” and inaugurated an exhibition on legendary cartoonist Mario Miranda.

Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly Dr. Ganesh Gaonkar, MLAs Sankalp Amonkar and Krishna Daji Salkar, Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, DGP Shri Alok Kumar, IPS, and other senior officials were present at the ceremonial send-off.

The Vice President was accorded a guard of honour by personnel of the Indian Navy before his departure. His two-day visit included interactions with state dignitaries and participation in multiple Statehood Day events highlighting Goa’s cultural and developmental journey.
