Vice President Radhakrishnan Unveils Coffee Table Book ‘Goa Engineering the Next Era’ at Statehood Day
Panaji, May 29: Vice President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan released the coffee table book “Goa Engineering the Next Era” at the 40th Goa Statehood Day celebration held at Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Kala Academy, Panaji, on Saturday. the books showcases Goa’s transformation over four decades of statehood, with a focus on infrastructure, technology, and engineering milestones. It features projects ranging from the Atal Setu and Mopa Airport to renewable energy initiatives, smart city works, and traditional water management systems.
Releasing the book in the presence of Governor Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, and other dignitaries, the Vice President lauded Goa’s model of balancing heritage with modern development. “This book captures not just concrete and steel, but the vision of a state engineering its future while preserving its soul,” he said.
Chief Minister Sawant said the book serves as a visual record for policymakers, students, and investors to understand Goa’s development trajectory. Copies will be distributed to schools, libraries, and embassies as part of the statehood outreach.
