: Cat Rescued from Well Near Mapusa District Hospital by Fire Services

Mapusa: A cat that fell into a well near the District Hospital, Mapusa, was safely rescued by the Mapusa Fire Services on Wednesday evening. The incident was reported at 16:48 hrs. A team from Mapusa Fire Station led by Leading Firefighter Suraj S. Shetgaonkar rushed to the spot with rescue equipment .Fire personnel assessed the depth of the well and lowered a rescuer using ropes. The cat was secured and brought up safely without injury.

“Locals informed us about the animal stuck in the well. We used standard rescue gear and completed the operation quickly,” said Leading Firefighter Suraj S. Shetgaonkar.The rescued cat appeared unharmed and was released in the area after the operation. Residents appreciated the prompt response by the fire team.
