Social Worker Rajesh Dabholkar Arrested in Extortion Case Registered by Mandrem Police

Mandrem Police have arrested social worker Rajesh V. Dabholkar of Reis Magos in connection with an extortion and criminal intimidation case registered on May 24, 2026.

According to the complaint filed by Paul Dhanraj, associated with “May Fair On Sea” at Morjim, the accused along with others allegedly demanded ₹1.5 crore and later ₹5.5 crore to allegedly settle issues related to construction activities of the company. The complaint further states that the accused allegedly threatened the complainant and workers with dire consequences after refusal to meet the demands.

Police have also alleged unlawful drone usage and criminal trespassing on the complainant’s property for recording purposes, which allegedly endangered the safety of workers and occupants.

The case has been registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and further investigation is underway by PSI Pratik Garudi.
