TOURISM MINISTER KHAUNTE INSPECTS SOUTH GOA BEACHES, GETS FIRSTHAND REVIEW OF ISSUES
South Goa: Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte on Friday conducted on-ground inspections at multiple beaches in South Goa and held interactions with local stakeholders to review issues firsthand.
The visit was a direct follow-up to Thursday’s tourism stakeholder meeting and focused on beach infrastructure, visitor experience, local concerns, and time-bound improvements on the ground.

Khaunte, who met shack owners, lifeguards, and other beach operators during the inspection, said the department is prioritizing practical fixes before the upcoming tourist season.
“We want to ensure cleaner, safer beaches and a better experience for both tourists and locals. Inputs from stakeholders are key to that,” he said.
The minister directed officials to prepare action plans with clear deadlines to address gaps in amenities, cleanliness, and safety infrastructure flagged during the visit.
