MILLING WORK BEGINS IN MAPUSA MARKET TO FIX UNEVEN ROAD SURFACES

MAPUSA: Mapusa MLA commenced milling work in Mapusa Market on Tuesday as part of ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure and address uneven surfaces in key commercial areas of the town.

The road improvement works are being carried out in coordination with all concerned departments to ensure minimal disruption to essential services and smooth execution of the project. The MLA has appealed for cooperation from all Mhapsekars during the works, stating that the project aims to enhance road quality and ensure safer, more convenient movement for citizens, traders and commuters in the busy market area.

Milling work involves removing damaged or uneven layers of the existing road surface before relaying, and is being taken up on priority in the commercial hub that sees heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic daily.

Officials said the works have been initiated to address long-pending complaints about bumpy stretches and to improve overall infrastructure in Mapusa’s main market zone.
